Starlab Days Terms & Conditions
Effective January 2026
1. Program Overview
The Starlab Days Program (“Program”) is operated by Starlab (“Sponsor”), a subsidiary of Science Interactive Group. The Program invites K–12 schools to submit nominations for the opportunity to host an immersive on-site Starlab Day experience, featuring the portable Starlab learning dome. Schools selected through the nomination and evaluation process will receive a Starlab visit as outlined on the official landing page. No purchase is necessary to submit a nomination or to participate in the Program.
2. Eligibility
To be eligible to participate:
- Schools must be K–12 public, private, or charter schools located within the contiguous United States.
- Schools must have administrative approval to submit a nomination and host a potential visit.
- Schools must be able to provide an appropriate indoor hosting space capable of accommodating the Starlab dome with required clearances of approximately 12.5 ft in height and 19 ft in diameter (e.g., gym, cafeteria, or multipurpose room).
- Schools must provide adequate staff supervision for all participating students.
- Schools must agree to permit photography and/or video recording during the visit for promotional use.
Employees of Science Interactive or Starlab, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to submit nominations on behalf of schools. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any submission that does not meet these requirements.
3. How to Enter
Nominations must be submitted through the official nomination form available on the Program landing page during the open nomination period.
Each nomination must include:
- Basic school contact and administrative information.
- Narrative responses explaining:
- Why the school wishes to host a Starlab visit
- How students would benefit from the experience
- What makes the school or science program unique
- How immersive STEM learning would serve the school community
- Optional supporting materials including photographs, videos, testimonials, or program examples.
Multiple nominations may be submitted for the same school by different staff members; however, only one nomination is required per school for eligibility.
All submitted materials become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
4. Selection Process
Nominations will be evaluated by Sponsor using a combination of the following criteria:
- Educational Impact: anticipated benefit of the experience for students.
- Community Engagement: demonstrated school and community involvement.
- Program Uniqueness: innovative STEM instruction or outreach efforts.
- Story Strength: clarity, authenticity, and emotional resonance of submitted narratives.
- Geographic Diversity: ensuring broad distribution of selected schools nationwide.
No public voting or online popularity ranking will determine winners. Social sharing of the program is encouraged to promote awareness but does not directly influence selection.
Sponsor will select up to three (3) schools as official tour stops at its sole discretion. Sponsor’s decisions are final.
5. Program Timeline
