  • It is possible for a photon to have such a long wavelength that the uncertainty principle puts it outside the bounds of the universe.
  • Essentially all life on earth ultimately depends on photosynthesis for energy.
  • The basic photosynthesis reaction is H20 + CO2 + sunlight = Glucose + O2. the sunlight provides the energy for the reaction.
  • The core of the earth should be much colder than it is if one simply assumes it's been cooling since its formation. Radioactive elements deep within the earth decay, providing the heat to keep the core warm.
  • Tectonic plates are driven by massive convection currents in the mantle.
  • The sun is made of plasma, which is an energetic, conductive fluid. The result of all this plasma flowing around itself is uncountable numbers of magnetic fields, all twisting and writhing around one another.
